The Forgetful Spuds

It is hard to believe July is already done.  We have been having a fun summer and plan on squeezing in some more fun before Anika starts kindergarten (yikes!).  We hope you are all doing well.

We stayed in Boise for the 4th of July this year.  We took the kids to their first stock car races.  They thought it was fun.  Of course, they loved the fireworks at the end of the night!
Conlin is so proud of himself for learning how to write his name. .  Not only did he learn to spell his name without us knowing, he also showed us that he can write it without help by just walking up to this board and doing it!  Since this picture,  he has really improved on being able to write his letters the correct size.
Lazy man fishing!
The kids decided that fishing wasn't as exciting as playing with the "raining rock".  They got drenched playing in the hot springs that were pouring over the sides of the rocks.
This was a beautiful spot to camp.  We were right by the river and hot springs in a wooded area.  The kids loved it!

This camping trip was our yearly adventure with our good friends, the Gamaches.  After finding the "raining rock", we had to go back to camp and get the other kids to experience it with us!  Here are Scout and Anika having fun getting wet.

This year we went to the MSU Alumni event at our local baseball game again.  It is a fun night gathering with other Bobcats.  I realized that morning that the kids didn't have any summer MSU gear.  We took a quick trip to the dollar store and fixed that problem!
The kids got some great face paintings!
A baseball to go with the game!
Hanging out with Humphrey.

Anika took a community art class this summer.  She really loved learning all of the new techniques.
The kids have a lot of fun celebrating birthdays with their cousins.  Kaylee chose a ladybug theme this year, so here are the kids wearing their party hats.

The kids are always so excited for Daddy to come home from work.  I just think they are so cute when they wait for him!
